My greatest joys, honors, and sanctifying vocations are those of wife and mother. I met my husband Joshua on our first day as students at Concordia University, Nebraska, and we married less than two years later. He is an entrepreneur and currently runs his own handyman business as well as managing local properties. We are both passionate about theology and apologetics and spend much of our free time studying and discussing both topics.
We homeschool our four children, who are currently ages seven, six, four, and two. Life at this stage of parenting is basically semi-managed chaos but we are so grateful for our precious little ones, even on the hard days! We currently live in a small town not far from Seward, Nebraska, although we’re not native Nebraskans. I grew up in Wisconsin and Joshua grew up in Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska– as a pastor’s kid, he moved several times!
I have been a full-time homemaker since our oldest child was born, but I have also written for my own blog and for others in the past, as well as working as a virtual assistant for online entrepreneurs.
My faith in Christ is at the center of everything I am. I find my identity in being a child of God, saved by grace through faith in Christ alone. I am an encourager by nature and it is a joy and blessing to use my words to encourage others. It is my prayer that being part of the LUTHERWOMAN team will provide opportunities for me to encourage other Lutheran women in their walk with Jesus.
