Laura Marrs

I am blessed to be married to my best friend, Rick. Together we have two daughters who are now grown and beautiful women of God. We have lived in Chicagoland, Kansas and now St. Louis. I have been a professor’s wife and a pastor’s wife, and a stay-at-home mom who rather fell into a homeschooling adventure.

Throughout the many hats I have worn in my life, I have always enjoyed making our home a safe, beautiful, peaceful spot to land at the end of the day. With a little internet searching I found that there is such a thing as a professional organizer. I now own Simple Steps Organizing St.L. and get to help others make their homes into safe, beautiful, peaceful spaces.

When I’m not organizing, I love spending time with our grandchildren, coffee with friends, race walking, reading biographies, a good deep Bible study (anything by Chad Bird!), singing, and attempting to play my mandolin.

Once our girls had flown the nest, I realized my role was now “consultant” and “mentor”. I’m touched that even their friends call me “Mama Marrs”. I’m privileged to be a part of this on-line ministry and pray that I can be a “Lutheran Mentor Mama” to this community.
