I was born and raised in the Lone Star State, and I suppose I will always consider myself a transplanted-Texan regardless of where God leads me to serve.
I am the oldest of nine children. I have five sisters and three brothers, a few in-laws, and a handful of nieces and nephews. Most of my family still lives either in the town I grew up in or within an hour’s drive; one brother is currently serving in the Air Force in Okinawa.
God has had me serving at St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend, Wisconsin since 2012. As I live on my own and so far from family, the people of this congregation have become like family to me.
In my free time I enjoy writing just for the sake of writing, working on songs as part of the Songwriters Initiative out of Concordia Irvine, hanging out and having coffee with friends, and tinkering around my house and yard.
I consider myself a life-long learner and enjoy non-fiction books and just about any podcast I can get my hands on. I particularly enjoy content related to psychology, faith, and finances.
Whether at work or play, my life’s mission to to help people know and experience the love of our Savior and to help them live whole and abundant lives this side of the resurrection. I am grateful for the opportunity to partner with LUTHERWOMAN, and look forward to seeing how God works in and through this ministry.
