A brief but dense primer on the Christian faith, “Mere Christianity” is written to Christians to help them understand basic Christian doctrine more fully. It’s important to remember the context in which Lewis wrote it and the biases and perspectives he has (most of which he clearly explains in the book), and also to remember that he was NOT Lutheran. As with any theology book, it should be held up to Scripture and read with discernment, but it’s very enlightening and helpful to both new Christians and lifelong ones.
